Day 28 (May 10, 2022, Tuesday)
Final day!! WOW, an excellent adventure indeed!
. Left camp early this morning. We plan to get up super early so we can hike the final 8 miles and meet Audrey at Springer Mountain Trail head. Audrey is picking us up today May 10 between 1 – 2 PM

A hiker left a brand new metal cooking pot at the parking lot, so Lisa now has an equally stellar camp pot which can also be put in the fire next to Ken’s well used cooking pot.
“We started to beg for food at the parking lot; but held off and had a wonderful celebration late lunch with Audrey at Longhorns. Yum Yum!”
The restaurant was right next to a Gun & Drug store like the one we saw on the billboard earlier in Ducktown. Only thing missing from the store is alcohol (NOT!)
