Day 22 (May 4, 2022, Wednesday)
First full day in GA. Lisa slept great! No pain in the hip or back at all, most likely due to extracurricular activity the evening before!! Whoo hoo!
Ken found a dick tick on him at 4am.
“It didn’t give very good head no but it really liked it because it was not coming off easy it was really stuck on there. It had a white dot on his back and Ken took pictures (of the tick).”
It was a loan Starr female tick.
We are in Big Frog wilderness. More harmonious ferns and a new flower.

We crossed a stagnant water area on a 6 ft tall tree that had fallen. Wow, that was cool, become one with the tree and made it across! whoo hoo!!
Trails have been well maintained; no signs have been eaten so far although we’ve only seen two.

“We saw two hogs yes yeah and lots of what we think are bear poops started yesterday with the new pooping if we came over that hill and now we see the new poop constantly.”
We are at a beautiful campsite next to the river, there’s a lovely sink area and several spa areas. We’ve both soaked our feet in the water – so refreshing!
